Petworth - Flax & Blue
Hand Block Fabrics
This spectacular hand block print is named after Petworth House, the magnificent late 17th century mansion built by the Duke of Somerset and set in a beautiful 700-acre park designed by the famous English landscape designer “Capability” Brown.
The pattern presents a finely drawn bouquet of English garden flowers festooned with flowing ribbons. Hand blocked using a set of 48 blocks engraved in 1916, there are 12 colors including the blotch.
