This stunning and complex abstract design was hand drawn in 1929 and is a fine example of the fusion of art, craft and textile design. Named after the House of Borgia, the Italo-Spanish noble family with a love of the arts, who rose to prominence during the Italian Renaissance. The Borgia handblock is printed using 18 orignal wooden blocks and 9 colours.
